another boot; this time will be timed (comparison with j3400 on kinetic etc)
~4mins 34 secs for plymouth to appear (first message was at 4:30 so just prior)... ~5 min 53 secs for wallpaper & functional at ~6 mins.. (on that box)
another box & I'm having issues getting it to boot; I did yesterday on d780 but not other boxes.. it could also be i've had another thumb-drive go bad (2nd this month) & unrelated to the Ubuntu ISO on it
nah conclusion is this box is just really slow to boot ... I don't boot live media enough on it to remember this
dell [optiplex] 755 (c2d-e6850, 5gb, amd/ati radeon rv516/x1300/x1550) minimal testing... I'll use other boxes that are more convenient (KVM wise) to me... so boot test mostly (this screen I can see whilst using my primary box)
