This test passed, but we have found that some of the install steps of the test do not match up to our test on hardware. Here are the mismatched steps:
Step 5: Choosing “OEM install (for manufacturers)” when booting from the disc with 22.04.2 there is no screen for choosing between “Try Kubuntu without installing” and “Install Kubuntu” options, instead it goes straight to the installer.
Step 9: In the installer on the “Preparing to install Kubuntu” screen, there is no indicator to tell if a laptop is plugged in.
Step 11: The “Check Erase Disk and install Kubuntu” radio button is not an option within the “Installation Type” screen
Step 11: We chose “Guided - use entire disk and set up encrypted LVM.”
Step 12: The select drive list is also within the “Installation Type” screen and not a separate one by itself.
Step 15: The “Where are you?” screen is just labeled “Timezone”.
Step 18 of: There should be text describing that it is also optional to change the computer’s name for communicating with other computers.
Step 28: There is no need to remove the install disc as we removed it in step 22.
Steps 30 & 31: The keyboard layout screen and wireless connection screen come before the Timezone selection screen.
VMWare: Briefly tested all favorites from the Application Launcher plus kinfocenter from krunner.
