adjust display to match my setup (default-right is below)
add new panel on my bottom display; populate with some stuff
add more workspaces (i use & love them)
firefox; stream abc news24 in window, maximized, f11 & fullscreen on each display
media keyboard buttons would adjust volume up/down/mute/unmute correctly if on workspace with firefox providing sound, or other workspaces..
suspended system; waited; it resumed on esc key (i'd closed firefox so thunar to open hdd part & play a music file (parole) which proved sound was good..

menu has all icons, ctrl+alt+t works - all good
connect 5ghz hidden wpa2 wifi, sudo apt update
sudo apt update; errors as no connection
connect 2.4ghz hidden wpa2 wifi, sudo apt update
firefox; stream news inc. f11 & fullscreen - media keys to adjust & mute sound
suspend system, waited, resumed & streaming news continued..
(I looked at battery indicator a few times, it appeared to reflect everything correctly with charger in or out..)

i had trouble at the start of this, took two boots before system became usable
once running, tried to adjust displays to match my setup (swap left-right, my-right is portrait-left
main menu didn't have all icons, background image wasn't perfect, ctrl+alt+T didn't work but display settings didn't show anything so `xfsettingsd --replace` and issues all resolved. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xfce4-settings/+bug/1821652
