hp dc7700 (c2d-e6320, 5gb, nvidia quadro nvs 290) (box has 2x lubuntu jammy installs; this will be 3rd system) (internet was disconnected on start of install; my last test on box was no-internet.. it was recognized when ubiquity offered me wrong location & cable plugged into network-switch) reboot & first lubuntu install looks good (sda2) reboot & second lubuntu install looks good (sda1)
reboot & login to new Ubuntu-MATE install... on adjusting screens to match my setup; I have GUI issues on one display but I'm ignoring that as install is good.. I can run a live system & report the other issue (NOT new, already reported & related to kernel & nouveau driver).. tops of windows are being covered by the default menu... I'll tag that though it's not a install issue..
(I've got to end post-install testing; flashing of one monitor due to nouveau is annoying... I'll run a live test on this box & move https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-mate-meta/+bug/1955445 to the live report if it occurs there, may also find & tag the nouveau issue)
