hp dc7700 (c2d-e6320, 5gb, nvidia quadro nvs 290)
testcase: install using existing partition (sda5)

but I DO NOT intend updating checklist; I'll do that using d780 (with packages ready for me to check post-install that will need re-install; eg. clementine..)
last ubiquity install using this type of install failed (with this partition!); this is to see if this completes (I expect it to), then I may try again with ubiquity... (exploring ubiquity more than calamares is my purpose) ... if it fails here, I may run badblocks & validate the hardware again but I'm betting this will succeed....

i don't care what apps (if any get re-installed); sda5 was a ubuntu install i'm installing over; and I intend to pass if it boots, logs in & looks good (as Lubuntu). currently on system is 1xlubuntu & 2xubuntu; sda5 should be one of the ubuntu
install completed
reboot, first ubuntu system looks ~perfect (untouched anyway; it's gnome)
reboot; second lubuntu system looks good; screens adjusted, command history present etc
reboot & login to newly install lubuntu...

command history present (didn't actually expect that.. but I should have - commands related to my validation of the ubuntu install, even my attempt to run gparted to explore what state disk was left in prior to this qa-test install - so should have been expected. adjust screens to match my setup, quick exploration & system looks perfect

lots of additional software is installed; mahjongg, mines, sudoku, aisleriot etc so install looks 100% perfect, but I'll perform this install type on d780 where it's a lubuntu install with additional software, not the duplication as occurs when installed on prior-GTK type of setup (preferences menu is rather crowded! with duplicates)
