old system is good, monitor setup wasn't as expected; but on changing it, logout & login it was valid, so assuming I skipped that normal test..

Today the UNKNOWN was able to be fixed as is usual... so no repeat today of https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/calamares/+bug/1917753
All preparation will be done in KDE Partition Manager.. had to repeat steps, but maybe me distracted by #lubuntu support & thus my error so ignoring that..
The install will not include any FORMAT of partition(s), re-use /home as usual & use a / formatted (REISERfs sda9 prepared in KDE Partition Manager)
I think I got http://launchpad.net/bugs/1917590 because it was faster.. but won't record it as I was focused on other screens
install completes
reboot, lubuntu 18.04 looks good
reboot, lubuntu hirsute looks good
i'll assume other OS is good too
