| dell [optiplex] 755 (c2d-e8300, 8gb, amd/ati radeon rv610/radeon hd2400 pro/xt)
last attempt failed, grub won't boot (erased system must have owned MBR) so I'll attempt re-try with whatever space is left (it'll let me see what's there anyway)
this appears stuck same as last time... it's almost been two hours since install commenced, i'll abandon it at 120mins.. I'll close this now, with install running, but 1hr55min and I don't expect change.. In a few mins I'll do a different non-xubuntu install to ensure no issues with sda5 partition

two 18.04.5 QA-test installs exist, will replace one (sda5), it will be formatted
after selecting 'change' for sda5 & selecting ext4, format it's returned to prior screen and is just sitting there... too long in my opinion, busy are systemd-udevd, udisksd, & parted-server.. watched kettle never boils?? expected it to take <1hr and it's some time past the first hour as evidenced in journalctl..
The system was left 5.25+ hours with no progress
