| Auto resize and partition worked great. Chose "install 3rd party drivers" (NVidia-340) ..... after reboot, nothing but black screen and a cursor (no SDDM). Used ctrl-alt-f2 to login, sudo apt purge nvidia* and Bob's my uncle. Note: this is the HW that Nvidia is no longer supporting after kernel v5.4, so graphic card is a little dated (quite common to run into issue with NVidia driver on previous installs...). Nouvea drivers booted fine. Re-installing NVidia drivers failed again... (also noticed nvidia-340-updates drivers, unsure what that is...). Installing nvidia-340-updates also installs nvidia-340 and also fails. Adding the NVidia PPA also fails. So 18.04 and NVidia are not an option on this machine. (19.04 works fine with NVidia on same machine, upgrading to 19.10 as another test.).
