The iso was downloaded on a laptop and put onto USB flash drive using Startup Disc Creator. It worked.

The hardware that the test was run on was a Samsung NC10 NetBook with 2GiB RAM, and an Intel Atom CPU. More details can be found here:- https://gist.github.com/anonymous/21b61903871ee685fc79

I booted the NetBook from USB flash drive and did a complete install. Lubuntu worked fine. I used Synaptic Package Manager (SPM) to install LibreOffice, GIMP, emacs, lubuntu-restricted-extras ruby-dev, ruby2.3-doc. No problems found.

Model of computer: Packard Bell dot-m
CPU: Z520
Memory: 2GB
Wifi card: Realtek semiconductor RTL8101/2/6E
Video controller: Intel Corporation System controller hub (SCH Poulsbo) graphics controller (rev07) (Intel GMA 500)

Discovered a minor bug when testing for the second time. because i have the habit of pressing enter after typing the network password i didn't discover this the first time.
pressing the 'enter key" on the keyboard connects to the wifi, clicking on the connect button does not.
