The failure appears to be a transient EC2 error. The instance was up for 365 seconds before being terminated, but never rebooted which it should have according to the test suite. The failure mode was a "no route to host" and the instance appeared to have been up, but with out UTC time-stamped logs, we have no real way to determine if this was a legitimate failure or not. Filed bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+filebug against the test suite.
