| hp dc7700 (c2d-e6320, 8gb, amd/ati rv610/radeon hd2400 pro/xt)
selected english(au), extra media etc selected too, full disk install with internet
re-use of prior installed / partition; (clean install earlier today on which I `sudo apt update; sudo apt install audacious cowsay fortunes-mod` & a few other packages, also using `scp` to copy music so I had files on my $HOME partition...
expecting what I'd get with `ubiquity` with this type of install; new xubuntu install WITH the prior packages (audacious etc) & most importantly my music surviving install
superficially (exploring from live media) install appears good; but I'm unable to login.. quick attempt to autologin also failed (maybe my error), but I'm running out of time to search today.. no longer sufficient time to re-install (fixing a typo if made by me) for example
install completed; on reboot I'm asked to login to OTHER? and it won't accept 'guiverc/please' ; however at present I can't rule out user/op-error, its been years since I could read keytops on the old IBM keyboard so were my finger correctly positioned? or something else user-related???
