test is mostly of `mkusb` change.. but using current kinetic daily...
if problems with boot etc are detected; I'll have to clone ISO to thumb-drive & re-test, ISO written using `sudo -H dus-iso2usb kinetic-desktop-amd64.iso /dev/sdb msdos grub-2.0.4 persistent`
-- paused this test as media failed to boot.... this will be a `mkusb` issue I believe
--
changed/set BOOT FLAG on thumb-drive partition (as suggested by @sudodus) & it booted successfully & ran finally.

| MSI Modern 15 (Intel Core i5-10210U, Intel UHD, 32 GB RAM) #Bare-metal, not VM
Same thing I do every day. Grab the new image, check the manifests, boot the new daily image, open each application, go through them to look for bugs, and inspect some applications more than others. I verify the existence of the bugs I regularly report. I change screen resolution, keyboard language input, connect to the internet, play media files (both online and off), and browse the 'net for a few pages, etc.
If I have time, I then spend some time using the live instance to do my regular computing, as I'd expect a user to do. I login to sites, browse around, maybe even leave a comment at a site or two, and generally make sure the default browser and default applications work as expected. When I test something more thoroughly, I go through all the options, create, delete, and edit files.
