my intention was to replace a partition (i'll perform an install-alongside first though)
three OSes now; ubuntu-mate, lubuntu & xubuntu... I'll replace Xubuntu install (only just completed), but new install won't have my altered config, touched files etc
again on restart; black screens with cursor top left (no blinking; just static... on hitting enter it starts blinking before text message appears and restart
reboot & lubuntu jammy looked normal (I only got to sddm login & didn't login & verify... assuming it's perfect)
reboot & ubuntu-mate looked normal (logged in this one & as expected)
reboot & login to xubuntu... plymouth on screen & text messages on other? unexpected but actually I like.. I must NOT have formatted as my altered screen setup, altered wallpapers etc are present, touched files there. . I didn't add any packages to I can't even evaluate this type of install anyway.. I'm going to assume LACK OF FORMAT was my error thus why settings survived...
I've tagged 1964923 as it appeared during post-install checks...
