install is perfect; on adjusting the display to match my setup (post-install checks) I lost background & am getting a messy display (my bottom display) that's hard to use - but that's not part of the install test so ignoring that here. I'll reboot & explore & close this install test.
addendum: on second boot I couldn't recreate the graphics issue that I noted first boot... I didn't adjust screens again to explore further (maybe it's after screen change that caused the issue to occur)...
