Select your keyboard layout and click on Continue
The 'Updates and other software' screen is displayed

Available options should represent the state of your system accurately
    • (If network is available) 'Download updates while installing Xubuntu'
    • (If on a 'laptop') 'Is plugged to a power source'
    • 'Install third-party software...' option available
    Click on the Continue button
The 'Installation type' screen is displayed

Move the greyslider bar that separates the blue sections as appropriate
The slider bar can be set as appropriate
Click on the Install Now button
A dialog will appear asking if you want to write the changes to disk. Click Continue.

    hp dc7700 (c2d-e6320, 5gb, nvidia quadro nvs 290)
adjusted slider so it's about half
grrr.. I didn't check what was on box before install; grub now has more entries than I expected.
ubiquity implied it was a 20.04.4 install before hand & I accepted that

    ubuntu-mate 20.04.4 looks as expected
a second ubuntu-mate 20.04.4? (install alongside I bet); looks valid
lubuntu jammy; changed (& good) wallpaper that's unexpected; but I likely was using it for 22.04 wallpaper testing as I did that recently so looks good too

install is good; alas it's 20.04.4 as I was using the wrong thumb-drive (or I wrote the wrong ISO to drive) - ooops

restarting test with a more crowded disk than before... what grabbed me last time is just how `ubiquity` represents the disk space in install alongside; I don't get to pick the partition to 'slice'.. partitions are now getting small but this should still work (if lack of disk space I'll not fail test anyway as it'll be my error!)

    grub-install /dev/sda failed :(
i've hit ENTER to end test & now have a black screen with stationary cursor... it's just sitting there..
eventually I hit enter and machine reboots

reboot & grub is full & looks okay... will test slowly
new Xubuntu JAMMY looks good, quick adjustments & look around & yep good
reboot & Xubuntu 20.04.4 install is good too
    reboot & Ubuntu-MATE 20.04.4 install good too
reboot & last is another Xubuntu 20.04.4?? likely my error as extra should be a ubuntu-MATE 20.04.4 ... it looks correct; dog maybe bumped my wrist thus wrong one selected in grub
