hp dc7700 (c2d-e6320, 5gb, nvidia quadro nvs 290)
lubuntu (jammy) exists on box now; i'll use defaults as much as possible & try and install ubuntu jammy on box (this box will have internet connected)

full window of messages (delay of 1-2 secs before slideshow started) then installer window closed... the disk LED on box indicates the install is probably still running... i see `rsync` on occasion running in `top` but window closed as soon as slideshow was drawn

clicking on the install icon on desktop or in dock just re-started the installer; so I exited that.. I let box sit until all disk activity had completed (and I'd filed bug report so it was awhile..).

On reboot - box booted into new Jammy GNOME system so install worked - ie. passing this test.
I'm moving what was 'bug' to critical-bug though as lack of feedback isn't good
