Test-case Live Session Start

Boot up the image
Ubuntu boot screen is displayed
When ubiquity starts select your language in the left column
Language is selected, all labels are changed to translated versions
Press "Try Ubuntu" and wait for the Live session to start
The default desktop is displayed

Test-case Live Session Usage

Use and execute the default applications found for the desktop enviroment being run
All applications should function without error


If all actions produce the expected results listed, please submit a 'passed' result.

On some legacy systems the live session takes too long to complete. This behavior is present since at least 21.04 release.

stop watch started at grub
screen cleared & black screen with cursor blinking top left
@ 8 mins 5 secs first [0.25999] x86 text (boot) message appeared on display
@ 8 mins 30 secs screen cleared & plymouth appeared (swirly started a sec or two later)
@ 9 mins 57 secs wallpaper appeared and pretty soon after that the try ubuntu/install ubuntu question
@ 10 mins 22 secs the actual gui appeared but with busy mouse pointer
@ 11 mins 17 secs system is up & usable & stable

wacom pen worked; batteries both showed, correct results on disconnecting power (one stays 100%, other starts to drop..) & quick look around..

plymouth visible at ~01 min 02 secs (ubuntu logo & swirly)
black screen and GUI/X mouse pointer @ 02 mins 21 secs (busy mouse pointer)
wallpaper appeared at 02: mins 37 secs (still busy mouse pointer)
try / install ubuntu questions appears at 3 mins 1 sec

@ ~3 mins 30 secs the system is fully operational.

(some times are accurate; some not, but all are pretty representative)

minimal testing session; random start of apps, quick look around etc.

THIS ISO was written using gnome-disks restore image.
