had a quick play with this one; desktop booted with glitches on the screen, and on changing the wallpaper I can end up with no wallpaper, or a glitchy wallpaper... I've experienced this before, trying to find the bug...
using files (nautilus) navigated to installed $HOME & opened found files using default/installed apps
