this will be test of random functions... boot primarily, also explore calamares with floppy inserted (3.5" floppy was inserted into box before boot) ... nah calamares issues don't belong here so will be reported in install QA-test section
pcmanfm-qt to navigate to installed $HOME directory; opened found files using installed apps (mp3, jpg, txt, odt, ods, etc) very minor random play

(Virtual machine on an i5, 16 GB RAM, onboard Intel HD Graphics) #VirtualBox 6.1

Tested the same things I normally do, though switched to testing picom and did not bother with compton. Everything functioned as expected, more or less. The LibreOffice bug still exists.

I did test changing the shadow color, but even applying it didn't seem to change anything. However, I'm partially colorblind. I changed it to garish colors but still didn't see any change - but I can't actually comfortably apply that as a bug. I have issues with parts of the spectrum and where colors blend. I lack rods, but I am not without rods. So, it's just partial colorblindness. For future reference, I'm really only comfortable testing opacity and opining on that.

Everything else went just fine. Thanks to @guiverc, I now know how to use the manifest. That means I can actually see what's different without guessing! That'll help a great deal, as I can target some of those things and test them specifically.
