this is second boot, which failed last time.. it's booting now. once booted I'll just shutdown & continue testing when I can
system booted, look good, so I IO errors on shutdown, sdb . async page read no eject message; hit enter & all okay.
dell [optiplex] 755 (c2d-e6850, 5gb, amd/ati radeon rv516/x1300/x1550) kernel panic???
this is not https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-cdimage/+bug/1899308 as it's actually booted. I saw grub appear, pressed enter at Ubuntu before errors started appearing them kernel panic.
this is now the 3rd boot, only the first failed... there are graphic glitches evident, I'll report as https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-meta/+bug/1854621 outside of graphics glitches operation is good. glitches are evident on wallpaper, but not always when it's changed, switch between two photos & 3 of 4 selects will have it glitched, 1 will not, glitches will also be different each time
dell [optiplex] 755 (c2d-e6850, 5gb, amd/ati radeon rv516/x1300/x1550) another attempt.. booted fine (felt slow to boot, but subjective) but good once going.. quick (general) exploration including navigating to internal drive directories & opening some found files using installed apps (txt, pdf etc)
hp 8200 elite sff (i5-2400, 8gb, nvidia quadro 600) b/c of kernel panic on d755-5, I'll boot here to re-affirm media is okay booted, short look around nautilus to navigate to an installed system's directory, open some files (pdf etc) using installed apps
first boo worked :) (but Lubuntu booted first time of day too last two days, then would not reboot (warm or cold re-tries), so will re-try a few times)
