re-run, after an install to SDA .. re-trying auto-resize on SDA
here is the issue I had before - it's only letting me select SCSI4/SDC (80gb) where I want SDA/40gb drive (I may have missed this last time)

prior install was to SDA (entire disk), will now install a second copy of 18.04.4 on SDA
problem - I either missed SDA selection (3 drives in box) OR it didn't ask, and it reported problem on SDD and kept repeating same problem.
as I suspect i had a hdd issue earlier; I'll blame that for now, and used SYSREQ REISUB to restart; this will only work if I can have it install to SDA
(if it fails again, I'll attempt to disable drives using BIOS so SDA only is used)
**** ABANDONING **** re-trying this has two partitions now at start; it should be a single partition so prior one may have started... I cannot be sure of prior state so this result will could be tainted and needs to be re-done (will leave this here for now as reminder, can delete later !)
I'll do NO NETWORK which should have me back at know position (single install on SDA)

in BIOS I have attempted to disable sdb & sdc... now the only choice is the drive I want; sda :)
During install what I saw was exactly what I expected; up till after reboot.
I'm only getting "error:: no-such-device : 5a..." and "grub rescue>" SDA was the drive that BIOS had as boot
(though the floppy-seek noise is rather nice; been a long time since I heard that noise)
