dell [optiplex] 780 (c2q-q9400, 8gb, amd/ati cedar radeon hd 5000/6000/7350/8350)
manual partitioning, will replace sda3 (no format), like replace.partition but not that testcase (don't want to lose data; I can't recall if 'replace' does a format)
reboot, login 19.10, looks normal
reboot, login 18.04.4, looks normal
reboot, login debian sid, I'll test this later
reboot, login new focal, looks good, but It's got a 19.10 default wallpaper
reminded me of https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-wallpapers/+bug/1873685 but mine wasn't really a release-upgrade.. so I'll not tag it.

When I went into the edit desktop preferences (wallpaper image file), what shows there points to the correct 20.04 image (when filename copy/pasted & viewed in lximage-qt), but I didn't expect to see 19.10 image. I'll only note here

dell [optiplex] 755 (c2d-e8300, 8gb, amd/ati radeon rv610/radeon hd2400 pro/xt)
testcase: full disk, encryption, BIOS, no internet
reboot & login & all looks good HOWEVER no encryption.
I'll assume it was my error; however I won't redo this test right now, as new ISOs are being spun
