I started on Ubuntu Studio 18.04. So I upgraded first to 19.10. (as it is not possible to directly upgrade to development) and then to 20.04 with "update-manager -d -c".

When displaying the Release Notes of 20.04, it logs the following warnings and continues without errors so far.
"/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/DistUpgrade/DistUpgradeFetcher.py:23: PyGIWarning: Gtk was imported without specifying a version first. Use gi.require_version('Gtk', '3.0') before import to ensure that the right version gets loaded.
from gi.repository import Gtk, Gdk
/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/DistUpgrade/ReleaseNotesViewerWebkit.py:33: PyGIWarning: WebKit2 was imported without specifying a version first. Use gi.require_version('WebKit2', '4.0') before import to ensure that the right version gets loaded.
from gi.repository import WebKit2 as WebKit"

-There were only error warnings of some snap service that do not have a start option or something like that anymore.
I could not copy it from the integrated terminal however there were no errors that affected progress of the upgrade.
It went fine.

-After rebooting to desktop "VBoxCliebt crashed with SIGSEGV in XQueryExtension()". Happens maybe because I tried in VirtualBox VM with guest additions. (bug reported #1871658)

-I use it in VM so no hardware.

-Now the guest additions do not work properly. I cannot copy-and-paste. (bug reported #1871658)
-Also Xfce Menu Buttons have a white text on white background when using it with new default GTK theme 'Materia' (light versions). No problem with any other theme.
-Starting Jack from Ubuntu Studio Controls from within VM hangs it (ALSA device was busy at the moment). In comparison QjackCtl catches this error.
-Suddenly out of nowhere, Software Updater has crashed. It was not possible to send it because of the previous VBoxCLient crash it states this bug is opened in webbrowser and I should append it. It then says "Unable to start web browser" at the end. The error message was: "update-manager crashed with TypeError in update(): argument of type 'NoneType' is not iterable". It reappears no matter if I have the checkmark for relaunch. I can start it manually however. After reboot, it seems to be gone.

EDIT from eeickmeyer: This is not a FAIL, it's a pass. Virtualbox is not a very good test environment since, unless you're using the version directly from Oracle, it doesn't properly support the latest kernel.
