dell [optiplex] 990 (i7-2600, 16gb, nvidia geforce gt 6600 gt)
last test locked up, reboot... start with opening term (ctrl+alt+T what first locked up in last) and `dmesg |grep squash` and expected result.
box is now just left idle... (as it was at end of my last testing as I left to enter details in another room [here] on my main box)
it was left ~hour with issue, I woke screensaver a few times (but screensaver hadn't kicked in last session before it crashed). I'll end test well; went perfect here & no re-creation of lock-up of last.

dell [optiplex] 990 (i7-2600, 16gb, nvidia geforce gt 6600 gt)
continue & complete all menu options, started in my prior test. prefs->lxqt.settings completed
some general play & random play, all good.

i walked away leaving it idle (having completed what I wanted to do), and came back later to `dmesg|grep squash` as i no longer see results of 'check disk for defects' as it doesn't pause (i was too far from screen to read when it completed and it was gone before I got close enough)... and couldn't get ctrl+alt+T to open, on trying to ctrl+alt+f4 to switch to text terminal I lost all access to keyboard/mouse; box had locked up. stupid keyboard on thing doesn't have sysrq so was unable to confirm if kernel still running.. I'll reboot & restart (pass this for now) another test and let it sit idle
