lenovo thinkpad sl510 (c2d-t6570, 2gb ram, i915) external vga was connected (on floor) so adjust position to match connect wifi (hidden 2.4ghz wpa2) -- i've had trouble with this... suspend; wait, resumed to lock screen - good change wallpapers & random opening of apps no issues on anything except I couldn't get wifi to connect (I booted yesterday's lubuntu - no issues connecting wifi, i've rebooted. -- reboot kubuntu and issues again, connected but no traffic, and I'm unsure why sorry) 3rd or 4th reboot & try and connect wifi 2.4ghz hidden wpa2 firefox; stream local news in window, maximized, f11 & fullscreen media keys adjust volume as expected.
lenovo thinkpad x201 (i5-m520, 4gb, i915) different device; looking to connect 2.4ghz hidden wpa2 network I've been unable to with sl510 NO issues connecting to 2.4ghz hidden wpa2 wifi, nor 5ghz hidden wpa2 wifi.
sony vaio ultrabook (i5-9400u, 4gb, intel haswell-ULT) given troubles with sl510 with wifi - this is just to connect wifi no issues connecting wifi 5ghz hidden wpa2 no issues connecting wifi 2.4ghz hidden wpa2
hp 8200 elite sff (i5-2400, 8gb, nvidia quadro 600) change displays to match my setup (one screen above the other, slightly ajar) change wallpapers on both & other pointless paly dolphin to explore hdd's partition & open found programs using installed programs (pdf, txt, png, mp3..) media keys adjust volume up/down/mute/unmute (could pause/stop/next too, but not play - but I don't use those keys normally so ignoring) suspended system, waited... (I'm going to restart - I noted what felt strange with initial display movement (it appeared as if space between screens appeared; I'd just re-adjusted before I really noted it... will try and re-create) rebooted & was unable to re-create what I (thought) I saw... ignoring..
