i altered monitor.settings to match my setup; which I know creates issues, but mouse behavior annoys me otherwise...
firefox; stream abc (au) news, in window, maximized, f11 & fullscreen both displays.
on exiting fullscreen on my now lower monitor (was right monitor), the window changes position so it's partially on one window , mostly on window requiring drag :( and it wouldn't become maximized on my lower display (http://launchpad.net/bugs/1809201)
media keys are working (vol up/down & mute)

opened vlc - http://launchpad.net/bugs/1804341 (but again only because of my screen orientation like a lot of the bugs I'll record today)
vlc refused to maximize on lower monitor (http://launchpad.net/bugs/1809201)
I am not getting sound from `vlc`, but I have few vids on my hdd; mp3 has sound so I'll blame the mp4 files I found..
waited & screensaver kicked in; screens blank & I see it on top (left) display, but bottom (right on boot) display has returned to pavucontrol jumping (audio level) as firefox continues stream & other windows (vlc, pcmanfm-qt) all visible - https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xscreensaver/+bug/1814490
when pcmanfm-qt is on lower (right on boot) display, the menu can't be used - http://launchpad.net/bugs/1812342
opened `discover` & selected ktorrent for install (the smallest?) and it appeared in menu, and opened on request..
overall this test was great. the bugs I've listed I don't get if I had a left-right setup of the displays (which it defaults to on boot), they only occur (prior tests anyway) if I change position of the right-display to below 'left' default display..

adjusted monitor position (same displays as d755 with 8gb uses) so one is portrait; took me awhile to get right but only due user-errors...

add panel to second monitor; (prior to doing this the default panel was on portrait monitor, the moment I added second panel the primary panel moved to the landscape display & new panel was on now on portrait display). when opening menu on portrait display it opens a number of cm above panel (~5.5cm today on this machine) - https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxqt-panel/+bug/1810075
[kbd] media keys could adjust volume up/down or mute/unmute correctly
set screensaver to single (installed) one & 1 min, then waited - no sign of http://launchpad.net/bugs/1814490 (it was in look-for)

change 'right' monitor to portrait (tilt-left)
firefox; ublock origin & stream in window, maximized, f11 & fullscreen on each display
added second panel to bottom of second (portrait) display; menu appeared way above panel (closer to top of screen than bottom where panel was positioned) - https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxqt-panel/+bug/1810075
suspend system, wait, wake (firefox still streaming), alas https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1816394 or no sound on resumption (firefox resumed video on screen, but no sound). fixed with pavucontrol. this has existed fr ages & doesn't worry me (pausing firefox/vlc/clementine or whatever is creating the sound before suspend will almost guarantee this bug won't occur on resume so I just do that & ignore the issue). i did note screensaver running (both displays) as I did on last box where this bug occurred.

pcmanfm-qt to open hdd parts, of note: some of mp4 that failed on hp8200 also had no sound on this box so it'll be the files. bird mp3 sound files played anyway, open some files using default (or alternate eg. qpdfview) apps

play with sound volumes with firefox active window or inactive (vol up, down & mute)
battery indicator droped from good (green), yellow and is now red
screensaver has kicked in many times as I've worked elsewhere
pcmanfm-qt to open sdd & run video in vlc
screen touch is working (minimal testing here as I don't use it)
