Passed on VM Virtualbox 3.1.6 Swiss/French x86 64 but each character typed creates a new line 'Unlocking the disk /dev/disk/by-uuid/... (vda5_crypt). I did not see plymouth themes though when passphrase promt.

kvm with 2 VCPUs, 768M ram, 1 1768M virtio disk

Really bad user experience: each character typed creates a new line 'Unlocking the disk /dev/disk/by-uuid/... (vda5_crypt). I did not see plymouth themes though.

tty1 is rather ugly in a KVM; lots of logging, messages, not cleanly justified; I assume it's just that Plymouth sucks in a KVM?
