Toshiba Satellite Pro c850-19w in UEFI mode, cloned from the iso. Installed to a second external USB-connected SSD that contained Lubuntu live cloned. I unmounted everything that was automounted when the target drive was plugged in. Calamares conplained at once, that there are no partitions to install to. I wiped the first mibibyte, which made Calamares happy: "Normal installation, Erase disk" available and selected. After that tweak it worked as it should and the installed system works.

dell [optiplex] 780 (c2q-q9400, 8gb, amd/ati cedar radeon hd 5000/6000/7350/8350)
calamares abended with https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/calamares/+bug/2060429

reboot & selecting newly installed lubuntu (grub had updated as machine had lubuntu background.. this system usually has debian owning grub)... system looked as it should

HOWEVER /var/log/installer/mediainfo showed older ISO (not todays), and some file-system metadata did NOT match new install, but most was correct, with the manually-installed packages re-installed (clementine to play music as I perform checks & I'm happy!)

reboot & select jammy... looks untouched
reboot & select mantic... looks untouched
reboot & select debian trixie.. (assuming this is good, will boot later)

hp dc7700 (c2d-e6320, 8gb, amd/ati rv610/radeon hd2400 pro/xt)
testcase: install using existing partition (after data & some additional packages are installed)
rebooted & logged into new session.. all looked good except for my.right monitor, so explore monitor.settings & adjusted to correct... then issue with https://launchpad.net/bugs/2060614
just need to confirm other system exists... reboot again & still didn't see grub... ??
(this box has two installs on, they should appear at grub)

I'm passing this test, no GRUB appears thus filing of https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub2/+bug/2060624 however I see this somewhat often as Debian doesn't carry ubuntu-os-prober-auto.patch ... I'll confirm the issue when i re-install on d780
