hp dc7700 (c2d-e6320, 5gb, nvidia quadro nvs 290)
full disk install with internet, accepting defaults so installer

repeat install; same condition - exploring the 'installer window closed' to see if it occurs again... same box & ~same conditions (excluding disk contains ubuntu jammy instead of lubuntu jammy)

weird borders around the installer windows appears; and are saved in screenshots too.
on starting installer; the slideshow started this time then window closed.. so program closed like last time BUT slightly later (difference this time was I saw slideshow before window closed)

I've assumed this install has failed; BUT I cannot on login find my `df -h` & other check commands I did before passing the prior test; so have I booted into a new system? and the install actually worked?

Another issue: the local clock is set to UTC, and language is set to US; not AEST (east coast aussie DST) & dates are wrong format (mm-dd-yy not local dd-mm-yy). This is likely something the installer doesn't deal with yet.

hp dc7700 (c2d-e6320, 5gb, nvidia quadro nvs 290)
full disk install with internet, accepting defaults so installer

on starting installer; the language selection part of the window was perfect, but the border was glitchy (mix of colors, very blocky, though the red-X top right was still mostly readable...)..
In opening terminal looking for messages & exploring bugs I'd used before (eg. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1930945 or https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1925279) for like issues, the borders of the installer window appeared with a banner "Install Ubuntu" (no text before; just untuned-digital-tv-blocky-type-image... I won't flag this issue in QA as unrelated to installer; and issues on this GPU are known but need upstream work; not Ubuntu work.

i got sick of dealing with screens not matching setup, so adjusted the display & backgrounds gone, one display is now BRIGHT RED and the other BRIGHT BLUE background so tagging https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1930945

alas installer window disappeared... nothing in /var/crash, in fact I found nothing I can report; except install had started (didn't see slideshow), the window just closed..

i restarted installer, same options & now installing...
install completed & looked good.
test passed - 2021-12-03 23:43
(edited later to add bug report on subsequent run which had same issues)
