A copy of Windows must already be installed for this test case. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/Backing_Up for information on saving a Windows image for repeated installs.

  1. Switch on your machine and log in to Windows
  2. Take any FAMILY CDs out of your CD-ROM drives
  3. Download the Wubi executable
  4. Double click on the saved executable
    1. The wubi program starts
  5. Click on Install inside Windows
  6. Ensure that the "Desktop Environment" drop down menu lists multiple supported distributions
  7. Add a username, select a language, and optionally enable some of the accessibility options (these don't appear to be functional)
  8. Type in your password twice and click on Install
    1. The (windows side) installation finishes
  9. Select Reboot now and click Finish and remove the cd
    1. The system reboots, and Windows Boot menu now has FAMILY Listed
  10. Press the down arrow to select FAMILY and press Enter
    1. The Automated Linux install will now install Linux for you and will then reboot
  11. On the Windows Boot menu select FAMILY again and press Enter
    1. FAMILY boots up
