	liw	2008-04-23 10:43	There was an error starting the GNOME Settings Daemon (#185157) In : gnome-control-center (ubuntu) Status : New Importance : Low Assignee : Ubuntu Desktop Bugs 24 comments, 10 subscribers and 1 duplicates	tested in kvm. got the "error starting gnome settings daemon" error, probably due to slow booting. needed to configure video/audio playback to use alsa, instead of automatic, in gnome settings (unrelated to gnome-settings-daemon problem: I rebooted to fix that)
