Using the disk downloaded today (19/12/2009). I wrote it to the disk. How ever selecting either "install" our "try ubuntu" boots but never completes to a graphical display. I always get a flashing screen that makes the terminal unusable. I have checked the md5sum and it is correct. I have a hp dv6799ea laptop with no changes to the standard specification. I am using a usb key to boot. I also tried plugging in to different monitors to the vga socket and that just left me with a blank screen on both displays (no flashing). I have an Nvidia geforce 8400gs

I can't see a thing using the Lucid liveCD on a 8600gt. I barely see the ubiquity logo, and after that the screen simply is not lit up.
