On partition menu, program automatically tried to set up Serial Ata Raid DDF_Raid1 () 249.4gb Linux Device Mapper no choice of hard drives to format or partition given at all.

tested under VirtualBox. Two observations:
1. boot -- uvesafb complains about not finding v86d. I think this is a known issue, so no error mark here.
2. at the beginning of the boot process I got a warning that all MTRRs were blank, followed by a stacktrace. I think this is related to VBox so, again, no error mark here.
