I wanted to install a minimal/server/cli version (the names have changed so much during the last Ubuntu versions) but didn't succeed, because I didn't know how to do it. Rather a problem of lack of documentation, I guess its just knowing where to type what.
the partitioning "guided - use largest continuos free space" was reasonable, but then I decided to change it manually, however it worked, as well.

After installing I had vga-resolution, had to add horizsync and vertrefresh
