Installed to my PII 400 Mhz in about 1 hour. Much faster than the alternate-CD installation.

Update Manager failed to find any new packages until I manually reloaded the package lists. Then it found 169 new updates. The alternate-CD install did this automattically, which is what I expected.

The "Quick search" in Synaptic Package Manager does not function. Further, it blocks all searches until it is cleared.
