Easy install, everything detected well. Was not offered to use the nvidia-restricted drivers on first boot. This appears to be related to a bug in jock. After manual install of nvidia-glx-177 everything worked perfectly.

Just a few details of my install
Macbook Pro 4,1
Manual partitioning - a boot partition and an encrypted partition containing LVM swap and root partitions.
