i actually experienced https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-mate-meta/+bug/1955445 but in exploring the issue & getting ready to upload my various screendumps to firefox the issue has now gone away & I can no longer produce it...??

I've thus removed the tagging of bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-mate-meta/+bug/1955445 the (last) change I made was tagging the panel to autohide & issue stopped; as HAS NOT re-occurred even after AUTOHIDE of panel has been removed...

nouveau graphic glitches have also ended... are they related?
