dell [optiplex] 755 (c2d-e8300, 8gb, amd/ati radeon rv610/radeon hd2400 pro/xt)
testcase: replace partition (autologin too, internet)
purpose is exploration of error message calamares throws up on this BIOS only box
-- this ISO is written with `dus hirsute-desktop-amd64.iso` and now I'm expecting to see EFI warning message.. maybe how `dus` is writing (non-clone with my config) or `calamares` being thrown by install media (which is good).. I'll chase up with Sudodus on UF first, but will use bug report if error shows itself as expected..

(existing drive has was formatted with a full-disk installation with calamres days ago, with replace partition overwriting it many times)

detected me as being in melbourne. adjusted screen as I normally do before starting install (default on this box is to mirror screens; and I find it annoying with portrait monitor mouse movements & displays unadjusted)..

NO EFI message I was expecting... `dus` writing the media is NOT what throws up the EFI warning on this box.... so what else could it be?? my theory was proven wrong...

repeat of `dus` written ISO... last failed due to mirror issues; bug reported which I'll look at shortly.. (also showed display issue due to error & size of displays being too small for error window)...

SysRq + REISUB then repeating install again looking for EFI message...

i'm back in sydney for this install according to calamares.

reboot, login and all good. disk as expected, adjusted screens to match setup

I logged out & logged in again, and screens savings which were applied/saved before logout where lost, ie https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxqt-config/+bug/1905947 but not related to install QA-test so will only note on bug report itself

testcase: replace partition (autologin too, internet)
purpose is exploration of error message calamares throws up on this BIOS only box
-- this ISO is written with `sudo dd bs=4M oflag=sync status=progress of=/dev/sdb if=/de2900/lubuntu_64/hirsute-desktop-amd64.iso` , and I'm not expecting to see the message
(existing drive has was formatted with a full-disk installation with calamres days ago)

reporting me as in sydney (715km away by air) not melbourne but same timezone - https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/calamares/+bug/1904974 OF NO IMPORTANCE though outside of reviewers
I can't modify it's created hostname as any character causes cursor position to jump to end; ie. http://launchpad.net/bugs/1904266 again of NO IMPORTANCE outside of reviewers of OS

reboot, login & all as expected, no EFI partitions & session.log stored
