NO AUDIO ??? I noticed this in Xubuntu a few days ago... ubuntu has been quiet on boot, but this is beyond quiet. fixed via pavucontrol.output-devices toggle as always.. mentioned in #ubuntu-quality

firefox; stream local news in window, maximized, f11 & fullscreen on each display

dell [optiplex] 755 (c2d-e6850, 5gb, amd/ati radeon rv516/x1300/x1550)

weird; never done this before.. it's only using part of the display????? reporting 1680x1050 by changing resolution I could use entire monitor, but resolution wasn't optimal... this is a 16:10 display but I forget it's normal resolution

will reboot & see if different .. reboot & it's reporting 1680x1050 again but this time using the entire display so I'm happy.. will ignore.

pcmanfm-qt to navigate to installed system drives, open found files using installed apps (txt, jpg, pdf, odt, etc)
system left awhile, screensaver was good, it woke as expected
