hp dc7700 (c2d-e6320, 5gb, nvidia quadro nvs 290)
testcase: install with existing partition, sda2
(install started from system menu option)
-- no (or minimal) playing around switching between replace partition will be done this time, just straight to manual & selecting sda2

I got grub rescue on reboot??? i'll ignore (did i put something down on keyboard or something?) as on reboot it was all good...
booted into impish, all looks just as expected (installed earlier today)
reboot & login to new focal install; my display configuration survived, command history used for support purposes all present...
This install is EXACTLY as expected.
