dell [optiplex] 755 (c2d-e6850, 5gb, amd/ati radeon rv516/x1300/x1550)
testcase: install with existing partition (sda8 is existing /home, sda9 will be used for /)

system reported install failed.. so I'll fail test. Boot Loader was the failure it reported, but I suspect it'll boot as I didn't create new partitions (install with existing and I didn't format).

I rebooted & selected 20.04, it booted with new background .. alas strobing effect when mouse pointer is at top of panel (greeter/sddm) or at the < arrow to left of my username.. so https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sddm/+bug/1865837 too

but I'll start again (not test 18.04 still boots, I expect it's fine), but next time without any floppy in drive

testcase: install with existing partition (sda8 is existing /home, sda9 will be used for /)

there was a floppy drive (3.5" 1.44mb; contains word perfect files from 1994, could be corrupt but no issues reading files in ask.ubu support request where I had to enable floppy drive for support recently).

I'll fail this now, reboot & try kubuntu and see if it recognizes fdd, then re-try this lubu again with & without floppy inserted...
