ibm thinkpad t43 (pentium m, 1.5gb ram, radeon x300)
two displays (external & laptop), adjust display.settings to match (external to right)
thunar to open hdd & explore partitions, play some music in background
use laptop media buttons (up, down, mute, unmute) to adjust volume of music - i had some issues here where it seemed inconsistent; I'll assume thinkpad [age] issues
general play of menu items (open & close random apps)
firefox; stream local news in window, maximized, f11 & fullscreen on each display
suspended system; waited, resumed and it wanted password ... got it & session resumed with news & music still playing..

dell latitude d610 (pentium m, 1gb, intel i915)
i won't operate every menu application, i'll try and spend time on device features & random apps
external monitor was attached - adjust displays to match setup (external on floor)
operate random app from menu items (from most if not all categories); once app opened i just closed it
laptop media keys could adjust volume
connect 2.4ghz hidden wifi (wpa2)
ctrl+alt+T opened term, ping router via wireless (`ping -I`) and ethernet successfully
wifi asked a few times for me to re-enter my wpa2 password but i'm ignoring that.. the laptop is sitting only inches from access point so maybe that's the cause...
