battery indicator (lxqt-panel) condition dropped to 0% and stayed there

connect wifi (5ghz hidden wpa2)
firefox; stream local news in window, maximized, f11 & fullscreen
laptop media keys can adjust volume up/down/mute/unmute.., adjust brightness up/down
battery indicator was appropriate..
suspended system, waited, it resumed with news audible but hidden behind wallpaper which disappeared on key touch.
all perfect except for `vlc`

I finished testing, the laptop continued to stream news, when I looked battery says 0% but is still working; i plug in charger & it remains locked at 0%. The laptop battery health is poor, but not dead.... I logout, login in again and it reports 86% (energy max only 14% of what it should be though) - issue here somehow...

looked calamares & detect location (all good) for #lubuntu-devel; adjusted display & wallpaper got incorrectly moved??? - http://launchpad.net/bugs/1845756
with screen positions changed as I have them, screensaver only covers top display - https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xscreensaver/+bug/1814490
opening random apps, no issues on any tried
firefox, stream local news (drm enabled) in window, maximized, f11 & fullscreen in window on each display
suspended system, waited ... news stream resumed on lower screen with xscreensaver hiding only top display (screensaver issue already mentioned) session restore on keystroke
