Failed at end of install trying to update grub. Could be because of a mistake I made partitioning, but I still don't think it should crash with a Python stacktrace

Hardware test; 2.8 GHz P4, 64bit; 1GB RAM; ATI Radeon HD5570 w/1GB memory
Installed using cd, live session installer. system will fail to restart when installing from "Install Kubuntu" at the the cd menu.
