| live CD boot still fails on my hardware (HP xw6000, ICH4, Matrox G550). Boot stops at initramfs prompt. No obvious error messages or cause.
Also failed Tribe 1 and Feisty, but always worked before that. Occasionally succeeds for Feisty. The 'modprobe piix' workaround mentioned does not work.

| illu45 | 2007-06-28 00:00 | | Had a bit of trouble with booting from the LiveCD, as my monitor showed a black screen after the boot screen. Xubuntu seemed to be running, as I could do a "three-finger salute" and have the monitor flicker off and on, but only to come back to the black screen. The problem was fixed by manually selecting 1280x1024 resolution in the boot menu. Aside from that, the LiveCD works perfectly.
